| breast screening
has anyone ever had this done?
my gp has recommended it for me and im wondering what to expect
wait times etc???
any help would be appreiciated

my mum said the actual mamogram itself can be quite uncomfortable and you're a bit sore after it. Waiting timewise she said it wasn't bad. She was in at Nelson Mandela Place for hers. | |

Yeah, that's where the new breatscreening place is.
I work next to a couple of women who used to work there. It's pretty efficient, don't think you need to wait about at all.

i know it's probably not much help at all, but try not to worry!
I had a biopsy taken from my cervix last week and I was absolutely worried out of my skull for about a fortnight before it and it was completely fine.
They tend not to keep you waiting too long my mum said and everyone's really nice and stuff about it. I know it's hard not to worry. But look at it as surely it's better to know if there's anything wrong. That's what I told myself anyway. I'd save my worrying for if there was. | |
