| Re: Mood swings + PMS I've had the implant about 7 months now and I have felt really stressed for a while but I think that is just due to what's going on in my life, how long have you had the implant for? I got told to wait 6 months for everything to settle down. |

| Re: Mood swings + PMS I don't have a "cycle" as such, but I can tell when I should have cos I get that weepy way over the most insignificant programmes too. Or stories in the newspaper. Steven just laughs at me. And hugs me. |

I think it's related to the physical pain that comes with it. I get so sore that I just neck a couple of pain killers and go to bed. It's not that I'm more argumentative when it's my time of the month, I think the fact that my body feels so fragile carries on to my mental state and I cry at the stupidest things (happy or sad).

I refuse to portray myself as a poor little maiden that needs wrapped in cotton wool once a month. | Yeah i do see what ur saying but sometimes it effects people diferently. 1 of my friends turned into a completely different person on the pill was so strange. Im one of the lucky 1s tho as the pill has seemed to make life so much easier for me! |

| Re: Mood swings + PMS hehe will do
yeah i went back after the first 6 months, due to month long periods, and they said well we said there would be side effects
then told me to wait longer, it got better for a bit but like i said past few months have been shocking, imagine having a period that lasts that long, and how frustrating it is. not just for me, but the man to, he hates seeing me upset cos of something like that, in all fairness he's a star with it though |

| Re: Mood swings + PMS I used to get incredibly weepy for about a week before I was due when I was on the pill. I changed over to 'the jag' for a few reasons & I'm great now. No crying hysterically at stupid tv programmes for me anymore! |

| Re: Mood swings + PMS Always weirds me out how different folk react to different methods of contraception. I avoided the pill for years cos I'd heard all those "bad cramps, bad skin, get fat" rumours but when I eventually went on it I found my skin cleared up majorly and all my monthly cramps / bad moods vanished.
I did eat THE WORLD though, but I lost the weight once I'd figured it was just sending my appetite into overdrive. |

| Re: Mood swings + PMS It sounds really fucking stupid but the full moon can make you really weepy.
Even naysayers reluctantly agree they've experienced it. Something scientific about the concentration of negative atoms in the air... or something... |
