Not sure how that will work if your breastfeeding exclusively. | I was offered an IUS to replace my IUD, but I am not keen on it. I don't want hormones going round my body for a reason.
Also the fact I don't know how healthy it is to have hormones through your system 24/7, at least with the pill you can have a break.
Tell me how you get on though Kirsty. |

Just have enough sex then...like stocking up before hibernating or something. Quote:

Tell me how you get on though Kirsty. | I'm not overly keen on the hormones thing but the IUS is supposed to make your periods lighter or stop them where the IUD can make them heavier and cause excessive period pain in those who already have period pain. I'm in agony once a month and my periods are stupidly heavy, I really can bear the thought of them getting any heavier.

Seems that every month is different to be honest, sometimes I am fine other months I am pure agony.
It's usually nothing I really can't handle and I don't like the alternatives.
All comes down to personal choice as per! Though I am interested to see how it works for you |

| Re: alternatives to the Pill? ive been on microgynon for a couple of years now and can get extremely down, not sure if thats the cause but think it cold be having an impact, been think bout changing to something else so this thread was very helpful!
one of my friends has and its caused her a lot of hassle, they told her that for the first six months you can have irregular and heavy periods but this will settle or they will stop completely but its over a year later and she spends very few days of the month not bleeding! |
