i still maintain that there is an element of artistic control by the author of a piece of work over the film version of your book - when you write a character you probably have a fair idea what they look like - and the cienematic interpretation of that should have some bearing on how you imagine them to be. I'm not suggesting for a minute that *all* of the HP cast should be grossly overweight - merely that there should be some mixture of body shapes and sizes.

Neville has filled out a little, right enough - and it's all going to hinge on him in the last book. in fact, hurry up and write the damn book , woman.

Haha, that's quite a jump there mate :P Nah I see how you could read that from what I said. All I mean was that JK is going on about the portrayal of body shape in the media, when she herself is part of the media and further propagates the image of fat kids as more stupid or worthy of mockery through the actions of her characters, wether it is her opinion or not.

totally agree juicebox. I mean shes not really tackled the fat people very well, in her books. I mean you have got his fat greedy uncle and aunt with there fat spoilt lazy kid. The two fat bullies who stuff themselves full of cake and are beyond dumb. Hell every other fat character (in my twisted mind) is sent to hufflepuff whos motto seems to be eat, get fat and hide. Hufflepuff is there to feed up fat children. Who needs a sorting hat you can spot a hufflepuff character a mile away
