| Re: Waters good for you??? I have to say, i feel a lot better for having switched to water/diluting juice from fizzy drinks, even diet ones, although I am peeing an incredible amount. I could get my own show.
Hotblonde - can you settle an argument, por favor? My colleague at work says that diluting juice doesn't count as water for your 2L a day total... I say this is rubbish.
(It's sainsbury's 'no added sugar' apple & blackcurrent - 65p a bottle - if that makes any difference...) |

Sebb's already answered your question. I does count, in fact so does tea and coffee. |

| Re: Waters good for you??? I need to start drinking more water - my teeth are suffering from too much Diet Coke unfortunately, but I've got an obsessive personality so I take on addictions easily. And yes, I am addicted to Diet Coke. Fortunately, I have managed to start buying 2 500ml bottles of water for lunch from Greggs instead of teh coke...but thats only in Glasgow because the Greggs here sell Deveronvale, which I like.
Body 90% water - ergo, a lot very handy to have!

I think that if you stopped drinking as much and went back to Irn Bru then you would notice subtle differences.
I was doing ever so well drinking lots of water while I was in work and then when I stopped working I stopped drinking as much as the tap water in my kitchen just didn't appeal. I've recently developed a wee bladder infection which combined with a baby headbutting my insides is pretty uncomfy so am making the effort to get 2 litres of water a day in me and I feel less uncomfy now.
Only downfall is having to go to the toilet 5 times a night. |

( | gawd, your water must be bad if it gives you infections and causes child birth. Stick with beer and you should be safer (ALA Cabin Fever) |

| Re: Waters good for you??? I've been drinking 2l of water in work every other day. It's taken me 2-3 months to cut fizzy drinks out my diet (making the exceptions with regards to alcohol), and so far I feel a lot healthier and more refreshed. My skin feels less manky and overall I feel very refreshed in work. This is opposed to when drinking only fizzy drinks, I became tired and I generally felt rather unhealthy. The cost of 6 x 500ml bottles of water from Farmfoods is like £1.25, which when you weigh it up to the cost of fizzy drinks and the damage they are doing to you... I guess it may make you reconsider. It does take a solid 6 weeks for your body to get used to only water after "fizzy drink" abuse, but it certainly makes you feel a shit lot better. Also makes you piss like a racehorse. All I need to do now is start drinking only water in my house, but I find tap water a little rancid.

| Re: Waters good for you??? I'm same, drinking around 4 pints of water a day and have done for a good few months now. Makes me feel a lot better, more alert and awake and I feel like I have more energy. Of course it could just be a placebo effect, but when I don't drink much water (usually over heavy weekend sessions) I feel shitty.
