My bad.

Have you been near ANYTHING that you don't normally come into contact with today?
It sounds like it is a reaction to something tiny and abrasive... Fibreglass, or similar. Could really be anything though.

It sounds either like an allergic reaction (have you got any dermatitis-y things (eg. excema?) - have you had latex or an adhesive you are not used to on your hand today?)?) or an infection (do you have any cuts on your hand/finger? no anti-histamines either. it stings and itches, more so when i bend my finger.
ive got a nurses apptment tomorrow anyway. im just trying to get it to stop bloody well itching just now!

is driving me mad.

the only thing ive come into contact with today i dont usually was a crematorium. i dont think thats caused my finger to swell.

Give it a good wash with antibacterial soap and get some ice on it (wrapped up in a tea towel - don't give yoruself ice burns!) to try and sooth the itching.

aye cellulitis isnt nice

a woman in my work had it once and it gets worse quite quick and nasty if u dont nip it in the bud

sounds odd im curious as to what it is now

Fuck it, if it's not getting any better and NHS 24 pull the usual shite with you.... get straight to casualty if you're really worried or it's getting worse.

Andy i_am_blip got cellulitis on his hand when he cut it at Leeds two years ago - he was in hospital for 3 days (I think) with a drip and heavy duty antibiotics. No nice.

If you know you can take antihistamines I'd head to the shop and get some, just in case. Clarytin are good.

got a cold towel wrapped round it the now (no freezer=no ice)
it itches less butn stings more

hm. white lumps have now gone red.

swelling going down, itching lessening. stinging worse.

maybe this is a good thing.

nah im ok. swellings pretty much gone now.
still stings when i bend me finger but thats it.

odd. it appeared in 5mins and has gone in the same time....

think ill ask the nurse abt it 2moro just in case.

it sounds almost like nettle stings

which is daft I know if you've been nowhere near any nettles
