National Tyres and Exhausts in Partick.

Avoid.

My exhaust was making a wee knocking noise whenever I turned off the engine.
So I took it to my local mechanic, the guy I go to all the time and he said "Aye, you've just lost a bracket and it's knocking against the gaurd when you turn the engine off".
"Take it to National Tyres in Partick and they'll sort it for you"
(My car is too low for him to work under because he doesn't have a lift ramp)

So, I take it to these gypsy cunt bastards, explain the simple problem and they say "Yaaas, young guy in a BMW ££££", well sorry, they said "no probs, lets have a look at it".

Long story, short: Supposedly I need a new CAT and it'll take a few days to order. I get the car back and it's making THE WORST noise ever. They've fucked the exhaust, I'm convinced of it. I'm fucking ragin'..

Re: National Tyres and Exhausts in Partick.

how could you need a new cat on a car that new?

my saab just had a new one at 12 years old / 90,000 miles but there was a visible hole in the section with the cat so it obviously did actually need it...

laura got her exhaust "fixed" like three times in quick succession by some rip-off bastards who gave her invoices for replacement parts that clearly weren't on the the car... i guess with exhausts they figure you can't easily see under the car to check what they've done.

I'm pretty sure I'll need a new one now, the exhaust sounds like its ready to fall off.
I'm thinking about breaking in and drilling through a couple 100 quid's worth of tyres.
