| Advice for WoW Noob Having joined the ranks of the Star Wars Galaxies Refugees a few months back, I decided to take advantage of the FilePlanet WoW free trial.
I was just wondering if anyone could recommed me a good server to start off on? Also, how many characters are you allowed and can they be on more then one server?
Also, any tips to avoid uber-noobness would pe appriciated |

| Re: Advice for WoW Noob Most of us are on the Darksorrow server playing as Alliance
On any PvP server you can only play either Alliance or Horde not both.
You can have up to 8 chars (I think) on a server and play on as many servers as you like. PvP up to 8 alliance or 8 horde characters on a PvE up to 8 alliance/horde and combination.
US and EU servers are seperate so if the file planet freebie is on the US servers when you buy the game you won't be able to carry those characters on. Least thats the way it was when I first started and yes it does suck!
PvP is done pretty well so I wouldn't be that worried about playing on a PvP server even if your not that keen on PvP.

| Re: Advice for WoW Noob Cheers.
I only get access to the US and Oceanic servers, which is a bit annoying because I have friends who play on the EU servers, but I also don't really want to pay for the boxed version. |

Actually this link should allow you to play on EU servers http://teaser.wow-europe.com/index.html

| Re: Advice for WoW Noob It's down to three hours now. I think my Inet connect is only about 6Megs, whereas it's supposed to be 8. BT are just being wanks about upgrading the exchange
I might go out and buy a boxed copy anyway, just so I don't have to download it again for the Mac and for the month's free play. I like games that have 'hybrid' CDs. |

| Re: Advice for WoW Noob I've been going for about six hours now, my connection is 1MB, think that's as fast as it gets out in the back of beyond.
Hour and fifteen minutes just now. Knowing me I'll start trying to work it all out soon as it's downloaded, be up all night, and spend most of my time at work tomorrow struggling not to fall asleep at my desk. |

Incidentally, WoW on a High Defination screen is the sex. Makes me wish there was a Mac version of Oblivion. |
