| Re: WoW - Help Pls That's a big question for Blizz support, tbh.
I'll scour their forums for a bit (but I'm grinding turtlescale for Wild Leather atm, so I may be distracted...heh)
Though, you've probably answered your own question - US / EU incompatibilities.
You could try contacting their support on either www.wow-europe.com or www.worldofwarcraft.com to try and suss out, but tbh...10 day trial right? Unless you've been a maniac, 10days probably ain't too hurtful (unless you got into the US demo to play with some friends, in which case...oh dear)

| Re: WoW - Help Pls heh thanks man, quite dissapointed really i'm either faced with starting char over again (i'd rather not play) or have to fork out again for both games in us version and be left with useless, waste of money eu versions. |

| Re: WoW - Help Pls Sorry, bad habit - responded to myself, so check my edit
And really, unless you're looking at your char you've built being something like 30+...there's no real fear of starting back over. The beginning is always the most fun, the rest is just grind to the amazing endgame. |

| Re: WoW - Help Pls Yeah i know, i've mad some friends on US server now and my chars are both 20 just now and i've pretty much spent all my time grinding they're professions up and can't be bothered doing it again.
Guess i'll be forking out the money then. |

| Re: WoW - Help Pls Aye, you will *definitely* not be allowed to play on the US servers with your euro versions of WoW - that should be printed somewhere on the box, and it's outlined in detail here - http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowaa/?id=aaa01663p
I'd recommend asking around in here since you've not used the auth key, and seeing about selling it off. The Burning Crusade at least you can punt for retail to some folks around here that haven't got it yet. |

| Re: WoW - Help Pls Yeah i'll have no problem selling it to someone (both copies or one) even just below retail so it's not a total loss.
However i've just realised i'm fucked. You can't buy a US key/download US BC from the website so i'm going to have to get a US BC imported to get that now as far as i can tell. How irratating.
Edit: Know any good (cheap) places to get the US version imported?

| Re: WoW - Help Pls Coincidentally enough I live in the US.
WoW - $19.99
TBC - $39.99
Tax (7%) - 4.20
Shipping - Approx $14 for 3 day, approx $7 for 7 day
Total: $78.18 for 3 day, $71,18 for 7 day. As of current exchange rates, that's - £40 for 3 day, £37 for 7 day.
These totals are approximates, but lemme know if I can help out |

| Re: WoW - Help Pls That'd be smashing if you'd do that for me man. I won't need WoW as i can upgrade that via the US webpage it's just a retail copy of the US TBC i need. |

| Re: WoW - Help Pls you can get a valid CD key for the US version from the website (but you cant in the UK which anoyed the fuck out of me) so that shouldn't be a problem.
isn't there anyone that does a TBC direct to drive type thing? |

| Re: WoW - Help Pls To be honest mate, you would probably be better off just starting over on the European Servers. If you ever intended to do any raiding, then most guilds tend to do it at night, so that's going to be a bit of a problem on the US servers. |

US server raiding at night isn't a problem for me as the hours i'm usually on are between 10pm-8am uk time.
I got a cd key for WoW from the site which was great, still no joy in getting a US BC however PapZeb is looking in to postage costs to hook me up.
Is there a direct to drive service anywhere that you mentioned? |

I don't know anyone that does direct drive on TBC, unfortunately. Regular WoW, aye, but not the expansion yet. |
