WoW Account Sold for $10,000±

Wow (if this is actually true).

You could say that spending a total of $10,000 on a hobby isn't actually that outlandish. Lots of people spend vastly more than that on cars, other vehicles and household luxuries they absolutely do not need.
There are myriad larger and more flagrant wastes of money happening every day.

There seems to be an entirely arbitrary way of deciding, as a society, what people can and can't ethically waste their money on.
