Getting Back Into WoW

Well, I've finally come back to it, like the hussy I am.

Kind of finding it hard to get back into the game though. I'd forgotten how tough things were with a Holy specced Paladin (with shit DPS gear) and I'm not feeling the urge to go and finish leveling my mage and warrior, so I ended up going back to Alliance on a different server.

I've roled a mage for now and I'm thinking that once he's up to mid-levels, I might roll another Pally and go for the DPSadin thing. It does seem like a shame to abandon my old characters with their decent standings because of their gear but I know it'll just drive me away from the game again if I have to grind instances as a healer so I get decent DPS gear for my pally.

Anyway, to the point of the thread: what has changed in the last 8 months or so other then the Sunwell opening? Are 'locks still stupidly OP?

pretty much aye. there are a shitbucket of new daily quests to do now. means loads of pennies for not a huge amount of work.

If someone would loan me a score, I'd get back into playing.

I miss my fire mage.

Also, they're now giving mounts to characters at level 30, as well as knocking the price down to about 35g . . . so I want to kit out all my alts.

Out of interest, how many pure healers do you play?

2 at level 70, a druid and a shaman.

my priest is only 41, so hes shadow for levelling until reaches 60 then holy for instancing.

well to be honest i dont play wow anymore, but when I did, they were the 2 of my 6 70's that were healers.

I'm still playing a holy paladin, although if you're talking about levelling as holy. Then yes it's crap!

Go prot if your past 40.

Nah, the Pally is 70 now. I leveled her as a hybrid spec, which was unorthodox but successful.

Fair enough. The things that got me were the PUGs and trying to carry on questing as well as instance healing. I just got fed up of the grief I got for it, you know the kind of thing where the tank is rubbish, the mage over aggros and you get the blame for not being able to keep the clothy alive when the boss is on him and the adds are on the tank.

i don't PuG, ever. helps that situation.

i have a friends list of about 30-40 people that i'll gladly instance with outside my guild. i have a MASSIVE ignore list of people that i'll flat out refuse to, and ill weigh up who i do and don't play with based on their spec and gear on armoury before i join a group that i don't know.

Level a tank,a dps, and a healer.

Then if you get bored you can switch over to whatever one you fancy.

My accounts been idle for ages but I might renew because I just found out they are giving mounts to level 30 characters!

My guild weren't together enough to do the high level instances as a group, mostly because we didn't have a MT then (thanks to the half the Kara team gquitting to form their own guild

). Although the resident 'lock could tank a couple of 70 instances, but they were kind of hard going

All my mates have left the guild though, so I'm planning to leaving an alt in it and quitting the rest of my characters.
