| Battlegrounds Righto, I've reactivated my WOW account and I want to get back into it ASAP. I've got to level 48 but have never played a Battleground, can you give me some tips as to how I get into one and what I should be looking at doing?
Also, apart from Zul Farrak what dungeons can I do at this level?

| Re: Battlegrounds Start off in Warsong Gulch (CTF mission basically), you're playing alliance so you're pretty much guaranteed a loss, but you can get some experience in your level range and even if you lose, you still get some xp http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/pvp/warsong-gulch.html
As a mage, you're pretty much on base defense - burn em as they come in. Basically hide as best you can, watch for the rogue team coming in, and cripple every fucking druid you see with cold spells. |

| Re: Battlegrounds For Arathi Basin, it's all about being smart about the positions in which the other players are.
You have your 5 bases, from the alliance view it's gonna be :
North - Farm
East - Lumbermill
West - Mine
South - Stables
Centre - Blacksmith
It's all about shifting to places which are vurnrable and holding bases smartly.
For example, if horde sends a large team to the lumbermill, and they are currently holding the mine. They have shifted a large ammount of players to far to the eastern part of the map. This means they have left the mine un-guarded pretty much and you need to be quick with assaulting it.
That's pretty much how the whole Arathi Basin works, unfortunately...it doesn't quite work very well in Random AB. As most players just run around like headless chickens and don't have a clue where to go
Also, sheep is your friend in AB. Try your best to sheep meelee classes to keep them out your way, counterspell the healers (In a smart way obviously, wait until they actually cast a heal) and zerg them as much as possible.
As for instances, you can do ZF right now as you know. And in a little while you can go to Maraudon which is on the western side of Desolace. And soon after that you can go to the Sunken Temple which is in the Swamp of Sorrows, East of Duskwood+Deadwindpass). |

Maybe it's just the case on the main server I use but I almost never lose WSG or AB. Then again, maybe that's just because I'm the druid who almost invariably gets all 3 flag caps for our side.
I just use the rest of my team as a distraction while I casually stroll in in stealth, grab the flag, switch to bear and take the hits, fire up nature's grasp then wham into travel form. First person to hit me gets insta-rooted then when I need to I shift back to caster, use nature's swiftness for an instant healing touch for all my health, then back to travel form and off in a cloud of dust.
At least, that's what I used to do, now I've re-specced to feral while I farm honour in AB, there I find it's more suited to a 'run aound and kill everything that moves... or otherwise' approach, and I can still cap the nodes.
So yeah, look out for the druids. |

| Re: Battlegrounds Mages are terrible at stopping druids, druids can just shift out of slowing effects.
Warlocks however,
I'm a druid myself, when i was doing WSG, i just got thick hide and managed to get 10k armour. Very handy whilst stealing flags, especially if u still have swiftness incase you almost die. |

| Re: Battlegrounds Feral forms really are crazily good since the patch, especially if you're willing to invest in a lot of typical rogue gear. Much to my rogue friend's annoyance, I currently match his damage in cat form (according to the stat counter anyway) and give the party mark of the wild + leader of the pack, so arguably just as useful. Only problem is it means having about half the mana pool and your 3.5 second healing touch will only heal for about half health...
Oh, I also love omen of clarity now that it applies in all forms. Quite often I've had situations where I've ravaged someone, shredded, got a clearcast so another instant shred... unlucky clothy!
Druids of the forum unite! ...And such. |

Previously we were both the same level, both wearing mostly greens (obviously it's agility all the way if you're going cat form) and the devilsaur sets I made us. Then he got a Heartseeker and overtook me... still, I can heal |
