I bought this album on the strength of one track I heard on myspace. Turns out it was from a different album, Cloak of Love. Although I think I prefer Cloak of Love, because the songs are a little more quirky, Dead Mountain Mouth works well as an album. The songs are all very dark and intense, transporting you to an uncomfortable yet enjoyable place. It demands attention, songs are unpredictable going from the most noisy to chilled out and back again in the twitch of an eye. Not for those who want a bit of sing-along rock, or straight ahead moshers, it's a bit to disjointed to find a good headbanging grove. Good though.
