I saw Royal Treatment Plant play at Rough Beats this year, where they blew both the power and me away (the power cut was seen as nothing more than an excuse for an awesome drum solo). So imagine my delight when I picked up a copy of the NME and they had been given eight out of ten stars. Unlike much of the stuff on offer today, this music simply refuses to sit down and behave itself; it demands attention, and fully deserves it too. Punchy, raucous, beautiful and inspired.
