like the previous reveiwer, i too have been a long time dokken fan. seeing the band in their glorious hey day with albums such as "under lock and key, tooth and nail ect from the 80's. dokken did do a coupe of albums in the 90's ,dysfuntional, shadowlife and a live album but in my humble opinion these albums seemed to lack a certain "something". forward wind a few years and "lightning strikes again" is here!.....i put it on and i was friggin' speechless!!! this album is a real return to form, this is the album that should have followed "back for the attack". everything on the album is perfect, the vocals, guitars, everything. don dokken sounds as good as he ever has, jon levin is more than worthy to fill george lynch's shoes and thats hard for me to say because lynch is my guitar hero! basically, what i'm saying is that if were hoping dokken would release an album worthy of the "old school", then buy lightning strikes again...trust me , you will not be dissapointed!!
