I caught these guys on tour with the awesome Cancer Bats recently, but didn't pick up the album till a couple of weeks later. It took me that long to get my hearing back. Their recorded output - arguably, more so on this occasion than previously - just about matches the sheer, uncompromising brutality of their live set and No Tears for the Creatures is quite possibly the heaviest thing you'll hear all year. It's by no means an easy album to listen to, but there's a palapable sense of groove underpinning their sonic sh*tstorm that marks them out from other bands of this ilk. To boot, these guys are genuinely sound, down-to-earth chaps, making them exactly the sort of band British fans should be supporting... Just don't forget your earplugs if you go and see 'em live!
