Oh man, I remember T in the park 1997(-ish!). Dreich constant drizzle & cold, cold cold that year. I think it was Chumbawamba who'd missed a plane or had equipment stolen or something and were late so The Supernaturals were given extra time on stage.

They'd already played their whole set including encore and for a minute seemed lost as to what to do. Then they looked to the crowd asking "Do you want to hear something new or do you want to hear 'Smile' again?". The answer was unquestionably for the power pop-punk good time hit single. They played Smile for the second time and the crowd reaction was even better than the first - one of those moments in gig history you just had to be there but knew it was never gonna be recorded for posterity as good as it felt down there 'halfway to the front, slightly off to the right'.

There was a couple of years back there when The Supernaturals seemed to be booked for every Scottish event going. T in the Park, Edinburgh Hogmanay, etc. Never did think much of them though.

I remember goignto their 'homecoming' gig at a Scout Hall in Milngavie. pronounced as their demise was, Love Has Passed Away is still a great track.

Tacky
Supporting Ocean Colour Scene in '98, when they had just released 'Wasn't built to get up' and he had a silvery cape on - it was supposedly a curtain from the dressing room! And they rocked it, they had so much energy, wonder if they would have the same stage presence now....
